Midnight fire razes 7 lockup shops in Ufuma, Anambra State

Strange midnight fire has razed down 7 lock up shops in Ufuma, Anambra State.

The fire outbreak which took place in the early hours of today was alleged to have started by 1am in the midnight, destroying goods and properties worth millions of naira.

The fire incident was also confirmed in a statement today by Anambra Police spokesperson, SP Haruna Mohammed.

“On the 6/12/2020, there was a report of fire incident at Ufuma junction in Orumba North LGA of Anambra State.

“The fire incident which allegedly started around 1:20am razed down completely Seven (7) lockup shops destroying properties worth millions of Naira.

“Meanwhile,police operatives attached to Ajali Division visited the scene and cordoned off the area to prevent hoodlums from looting while the fire was put off by local volunteers.

“No loss of life and value of property destroyed is yet to be determined.Case under investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident please”, the statement read.
